Inaugural speakers included Neeta Prasad, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Education, Shri Rajendra Ratnoo, Joint Secretary, DPIIT and CGPDTM, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Prof. Rajnish Jain, Secretary, UGC. The technical session was then held, with experts in Intellectual Property Rights providing an outline of the issue.

Mme Neeta Prasad, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Education, emphasised the importance of Intellectual Property as a foundation for innovation. According to the joint secretary, “Necessary actions have been done in India to develop a healthy innovation and IPR culture.”
