Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has achieved another milestone as recently it has been accredited with an A++ grade by the NAAC. The university has achieved the highest grade by standing upon various parameters, including infrastructure, research, learning resources, innovation, evolution, governance, etc.
The JMI Vice-Chancellor, Professor Najma Akhtar, said, “ The achievement of the university has been reflected upon the hard-work and effort of all the staff members, teachers, alumni, and non-teaching staff. All have been worked magnificently, and untiringly”. I want to thank them and hope they will maintain grades in the future. Further, she stated, “we will try to improve our performance, and never step back to work hard”.
Earlier, NAAC had awarded the Jamia Millia Islamia with an “A” grade in 2015, when it got a score of 3.09; however, in the current cycle, there is a significant improvement, and obtained a total score of 3.61.
The National Assessment And Accreditation Council (NAAC) offers A++ grade to institutions that have the least score of 3.51, Institutions with a higher score than this may be eligible as well.
